Fraser’s interest in family law began at the age of sixteen, when he followed his dad – Lorne MacLean, QC, to the Supreme Court of Canada. His interest only furthered while attending legal studies at Thompson Rivers University where he also participated in various Moots. Fraser has shown a passion for family law and a dedication to helping the firm’s clients. He works closely with senior lawyers on complex family law and estate litigation matters. Fraser has also spent a significant portion of time working from the firm’s five other offices, giving him the privilege to meet a diverse and broad range of families throughout the province.
Fraser has a wealth of practical experience in family law gained while working for the firm over the last three summers as a summer student. He is committed to helping clients understand their legal position so that every client can make informed, knowledgeable decisions to move forward with their lives.
Fraser completed his Juris Doctorate at Thompson River University, preceded by a Bachelor of Arts in Geography at the University of Victoria. He also completed a Family Violence Screening program and the Use of Financial Statements for Legal Professionals presented by The Continuing Legal Education Society of British Columbia (CLEBC).
Fraser is an avid hockey player who was a member of the TRU Law Hockey team and the BC Best Ever Regional Hockey Team. In his leisure time, you can find him enjoying a round of golf, playing hockey with his friends and exploring new cultures through travel. Fraser is known as a compassionate, fashion-forward, goal orientated person, who displays outstanding leadership potential and always shows dedication and compassion to his clients.
